You will be an integral part of our Product and Operations Team, which is responsible for collaboration with our external suppliers and customers to guarantee the smooth delivery of every sewts.VELUM system. They are defining timelines and measures for system adaptations and will provides troubleshooting support and on-site feedback where needed. In a nutshell, they act as the primary contact point with all our customers until successful site acceptance and therefore a happy customer is achieved.
As our Automation Engineer (m/f/d) you will be an integral part of said Operations Team. You will be focusing on end-to-end PLC code implementation, from designing, analyzing, and implementing to deploying and continuously improving the functionality of our products. You will be in the field, traveling to customers for commissioning, servicing and upgrading systems. Curious? Let’s talk!
How you will be creating an impact with us:
- PLC code implementation: You will be programming and parameterizing PLC in our industrial machines and robots by using STX, and working closely with motion design and control for industrial drives and servos;
- Testing and Solution Deployment: You will be working on release management and testing of prototypes including commissioning, debugging, troubleshooting on site and remotely;
- Cross-functional Collaboration: You will be collaborating with our Software Team on further enhancement of our code integration between deployed PLCs and other edge devices and implement code versioning with Git and other state of the art versioning tools, and facilitate hand-eye calibration between visual sensors and industrial robots;
- Development: You will work on HMI adaptations, initial setup and programming of articulated robots, adaptation of TCP/IP and socket connections and well-structured PLC code using TwinCAT;
- Willingness to travel for 15-20% of the time, primarily within central Europe.
