Your mission
At sewts we automate what others can’t. Gripping of deformable materials like textiles is a task most humans see as intuitive and simple. However, this is a complicated task for robots as they lack the detailed and contextual understanding of where and with what level of sensitivity to handle these textiles. As deep-tech enthusiasts, we teach industrial robots human perception skills. With over €10M in funding, we will bring automation to the €1,500bn fashion industry to achieve our long-term vision. Enabling robots to fully automate clothing production.
You will make the difference! We have built a high-performance culture where efficient target achievement and consistent development is at the core of our company philosophy. We are working independently with ownership and a strong motivation to go the extra mile. We are setting our goals high, enjoying our daily challenges, while loving to share a laugh with our fellow team members. We are a diverse team, with many different nationalities, which values direct communication and open feedback.
You will be a part of our dedicated Hardware Team, whose members are experts, specialised in the design of complex systems, and handling textiles. You will be closely working with a cross-functional team of mechanical, mechatronics, and service engineers, who develop, test, and deliver our fully standardized sewts.VELUM as well as new and individualised robotic automation systems.
As our Mechanical Engineer (m/f/d) you will be responsible for the development of industrial machine cells with articulated robots, performing calculations for mechanical structures, conveyors and motors. With your advanced engineering skills, you will have a guiding impact working on the team and will work with them on rapid prototyping, creating CAD drawings, new designs, and collaborating with partners and suppliers for cost-optimized development.
How you will be creating an impact with us:
