Your mission
At sewts we automate what others can’t. Gripping of deformable materials like textiles is a task most humans see as intuitive and simple. However, this is a complicated task for robots as they lack the detailed and contextual understanding of where and with what level of sensitivity to handle these textiles. As deep-tech enthusiasts, we teach industrial robots human perception skills. With over €10M in funding we will bring automation to the €1,500bn fashion industry to achieve our long-term vision. Enabling robots to fully automate clothing production.
You will make the difference! We have built a high-performance culture where efficient target achievement and consistent development is at the core of our company philosophy. We are working independently with ownership and a strong motivation to go the extra mile. We are setting our goals high, enjoying our daily challenges, while loving to share a laugh with our fellow team members. We are a diverse team, with many different nationalities, which values direct communication and open feedback.
You will be an integral part of our Software Team, which is responsible for bringing a highly performant AI platform, specialized on deformable materials, to life. It runs in all our robotic products, which comprises a framework to train AI models, a middleware to run a configurable pipeline including AI models, computer vision algorithms on an edge device, and a user interface for configuration, calibration, and monitoring.
As our new Computer Vision Intern (m/f/d), you will be an integral part of our Software Team. You will be implementing an advanced simulation platform for textiles and other deformable materials. You will work closely with our senior and junior developers on improving our simulation environment and integrating it into our training pipeline and reducing the sim to real gap.
How you will create an impact with us:- You will develop simulation for 2D, 3D data generation and reinforcement learning robot trajectories;
- You will do cutting edge research on how to integrate the simulation with perception action loops and real robots;
- You will help curate and improve our existing pipeline.
