At sewts, we build the intelligence that lets robots manipulate deformable materials like textiles, towels, cables with human like precision. Our systems are already deployed in production across Europe and expanding into the US.

We are building a foundational technology stack called sewts.JUPITER. JUPITER uses genAI to simulate realistically the behavior of deformable & soft objects to create corresponding computer vision models and grabbing strategies. Based on our physical AI, for the first time ever, robots are enabled to handle soft & deformable materials. With over €10M in funding we will bring automation into all untapped industries, like cloth manufacturing, textiles handling, recycling & e-commerce.

This is where AI leaves the screen and enters the physical world.

And in the physical world, nothing forgives you.

Your Role

The engineers build it. The technicians install it. You make sure it all goes to plan.

As our Project Manager for Customer Operations & Deployment, you own the journey from signed contract to system running live at the customer site. Every milestone tracked, every customer kept in the loop, every risk caught before it becomes a problem.

Our robots are going live at customer sites across Europe. Each deployment depends on someone who takes ownership personally, who keeps all the moving parts aligned and makes sure we deliver on what we promised. That someone is you. 

Your profile

What You'll Actually Do

  • Project Planning & Delivery: Own deployment projects end to end, from kickoff to go live. You set the timeline, define the milestones, and make sure everyone is moving in the same direction.
  • Customer Communication: Be the face of sewts throughout the project. Proactive, clear, no surprises. Customers trust you because you tell them what is happening before they have to ask.
  • Cross-functional Coordination: Bridge engineering, field technicians, and customers. You are the connective link, the person who makes sure the right people have the right information at the right time.
  • Budget & Resource Tracking: Keep an eye on costs, capacity, and timelines. Flag risks early. Find solutions before they become someone else's problem.
  • On-site Presence: Show up when it matters. Travel to customer sites during commissioning, handovers, and critical escalations.
  • Process Building: Spot what is breaking down across projects and fix it systemically: better templates, cleaner playbooks, sharper processes as we scale.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Every project leaves a paper trail. Your records make the next deployment faster and the product better.

Who You Are

  • 2+ years in project management, operations, or a customer facing technical role, in industrial, robotics, automation, or a comparably demanding environment.
  • A Masters degree or equivalent in engineering, mechatronics, robotics or a related field. You think both technically and commercially, and you know when to switch modes.
  • Structured and organised: you can manage multiple live projects simultaneously without dropping the ball on any of them.
  • A confident, composed presence with customers. You build trust quickly, set expectations clearly, and stay calm when things go sideways.
  • Comfortable working without a playbook. Sewts is growing fast, and the processes you build will be the ones the team runs on.
  • Fluent in English, German is a huge plus! Our customers and team are international.
  • Willing to travel 25 to 50% across Europe.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with robotics, automation, or industrial hardware.
  • Experience with project tools.
  • Background in customer operations in a tech or hardware company.
  • Valid driver's licence (Class B).
